You will be joining a the team that supplies components for some of the world’s most coveted vehicles, and you’ll be involved from the outset of exciting new projects.
As a Project Engineer, you’ll be a natural when it comes to time management. You will develop the group’s project objectives after understanding any specific expectations from the customer, and coordinating with the teams internally to ensure gateways are realistic and fully achievable. You’ll need to have a knack for working within large cross-functional, and be able to obtain the buy-in from people you don’t necessarily work with on a daily basis.
Essentially you will be responsible for ensuring new projects are launched on time and within budget, but you’ll be working under the guidance of an experienced program manager.
You’ve probably worked within the automotive field previously, with an understanding of APQP framework and PPAP construction. You could have held a NPI / Project Quality remit, or could be working specifically as a Project Engineer right now but looking to challenge yourself with higher volumes and a larger company.
You’ll probably have strong engineering credentials too, such as a HNC/HND or bachelors degree. This will help you to pick up the product and processes on site more quickly.
