Quality Technician – Northamptonshire
This automotive business manufactures bespoke interior trim for a variety of UK OEM’s, including Bentley and McLaren. The company turnover just under £30m annually, and have confirmed orders to grow this even further in the next two years.
This isn’t an opportunity for a quality technician to stay in the same position for five years – we’re looking for somebody who is enthusiastic and wants to progress into a Quality Engineer. The business have a vast amount of knowledge and experience, and you’ll be learning from them every day.
You’ll be responsible for plant and product quality concerns, conducting Root Cause Analysis where appropriate and liaising with customer/supplier representative. As part of the wider quality team, you’ll maintain work standards across the business.
You’ll also be involved in developing new projects across a range of vehicles – you’ll follow APQP process and develop FMEAs, Control Plans, PPAPs, etc.
You’ll probably have relevant engineering / automotive qualifications, and will have 3 years experience working in a quality department.
Ideally, you’ll have a good functional knowledge of various quality tools such as 8D, 5Y, Ishikawa diagrams, Poka Yoke, etc.
